(A) VBTS only has beach during low tides; however ~ there are numerous beach sites on the island, all of which are easily accessible from the hotel. Villas By The Sea Resort is the closest Hotel on the Island to the very Romantic Driftwood Beach, which was recently ranked #5 on the Top Romantic US Beaches ~ check it out @ Top Romantic US Beaches.

(Q) Will our Room be on the Beach & will we have a view of the ocean?

(A) Villas By The Sea is separated from the beaches on Jekyll by the Natural tree & Dune Lines ~ this is in order to protect Jekyll's beaches from the erosion process. Jekyll Island is a State owned Park & therefore protected by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, it is for this fact that VBTS cannot guarantee an ocean view. (Q) Is transportation provided by the Hotel?

(A) No, Villas By The Sea does not provide transportation services at this time. If you are flying into Jacksonville, we suggest renting a car for your stay on Jekyll Island. Click here for details.

(Q) How far is Villas By The Sea from the Island Golf Courses?

(A) Villas By The Sea Resort is a short 3 miles from all four courses on Jekyll as well as 13 lighted Tennis Courts.

(Q) What Grocery Stores are located nearby?

(A) There is an IGA Grocery Store located approximately 3 ½ miles from Villas By The Sea as well as a small store located at the Jekyll Island Campground, approximately 1/2 mile from Villas By The Sea. Larger Stores are located on the mainland, in Brunswick, GA which is about a 20 minute drive from Jekyll Island.

(Q) Will there be a sofa sleeper in my Villa?

(A) Due to the fact that all of our Villas are individually owned, VBTS cannot guarantee that you will have a Villa with a pull-out sofa sleeper. However, Rollaway beds & cribs are available for a nominal rental fee, please inquire with our Front Desk.
